SOUP & CINEMA
Havener reports that we still need volunteers to help set up, clean up and could use donations of cider, crackers, napkins, spoons, cups. We will post an online call for volunteers. The board approved spending for two 2-inch by one column display ads and 5 classifieds ads to run the week prior to the event. Details regarding kitchen, soup bowls and other set up were finalized. The board agreed to give 5 t-shirts as door prizes. The board approved giving 2 Soup & Cinema tickets to our largest donor. Roten and Wood will manage the projection equipment.
MOVIE DEC. 15
LFS will present the film ‘A Christmas Story” at the Civic Center Auditorium on Dec. 15. Local children’s choirs are being contacted to perform prior to the showing. Concessions were discussed but not finalized. Spending was approved for: the film, the bazaar craft table, and renting the auditorium.
LFS has aquired a 16mm projector and the board has authorized Wood to place bids on a second one. We are also looking for a good used commercial popcorn popper.
Grossman will be contacting the publicity committee about producing the next newsletter by Dec. 15. Roten agreed to do a talk radio interview about LFS.
Woods turned this over to Roten who will gather the rest of the needed information and have Pam Dunnuck review it.
